Anyone out there familiar with the Real Flight G2 Flight Simulator for Radio Controlled Planes? If so. I DESPERATELY need your help. I tried installing it onto this blasted computer of mines and for some reason I can’t get it to start. Every time I click on the Icon, I get two error messages. One says " Failed to execute target process [error code 31]" and the other says " The D3D8.DLL file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:UNLOCK CB" I’m running Windows ME with over 1.5 GB of free space “which according to the instructions should be far more than enough”. Can anyone out there offer any assistance with this problem? Please help me with this before I go insane.
Installing the latest version of DirectX shouldn’t hurt…
Hi and thanks fro the response
I tried downloading the latest version of DirectX and the first two problems went away. Now I get an error stating that my Video Card doesn’t support 3D Images. I sat up almost all night fighting with this thing and I STILL can’t get it to work. Can you (or anyone out there) tell me what I can do about this Video card? I’ve downloaded all of the RealFlight upgrades and that didn’t seem to help at all.

Do I need another type of driver?
-
Do I need another Video card?
-
Do I need another Computer altogether?
What should I do?
Anyone
What kind of video card do you have? RealFlight requires a video card with 3d acceleration. 3D is pretty much standard on video cards today, so my guess is that if it’s complaining about not supporting 3d images, combined with a machine running WinME, you have an old system and most likely a vid card upgrade should do it.
I have RealFlight G2 as well - definately a worthwhile investment for learning to fly R/C
Hi… Sorry it took me so long to get back to you :o
You are right aboiut my Computer. I’ve had this thing now for 5 years and it is very outdated. Come next payday I plan to take a little trip to Best Buy and pick up something more modern that can handle RealFlight G2
