A couple of days ago I began having this problem with Internet Explorer: If I visit a web page and want to save a picture from it, normally I would ‘right click’ the picture and from the menu I choose “save as”. Normally there are a couple of choices (such as .jpg & gif), but recently the only choice I am being presented with is “bitmap”. The problem also occurs with newsgroups in Outlook Express. My operating system is Windows ME.
Anyone know what I have to do to get all the formats back? 
clear the cache
How?
Tools > internet options > Temporary internet files > delete files
