I remember reading this book back in fifth grade. It was about a large family living in a Victorian house which was supposedly haunted and that aspect is played upon when an older girl who’s the daughter of one of the new parents comes along. She’s got some new age schtick going on in addition to teenage angst telling kids how she’s in touch with spirits. How she gets the kids attention is when she says she’s going to contact spirits to find the head of a cherub who’s part of the staircase design.
Does anyone know the book I’m talking about?
“The Headless Cupid” by Zilpha Keatley Snyder.
Oh duh. The title’s so simple that a Google search would’ve picked it up.
Thank you!
