Need PayPal info fast. Can anyone help?

Can anybody tell me how to set up a PayPal account? From other recent threads it’s my understanding that it’s a super-fast way to send/receive money. Is that right? Thanks for your help.

Start here.

I’ve had PayPal since 2002 or 2003 and also have a PayPal Mastercard, it’s very handy. What do you need to do with it?

chiroptera thank you so much for the link. I’m going to use the information and see if I can do it. Will let you know if I need more help.
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your help chiroptera. My brother and I are working it out now. Again…Thank You!

FWIW, a year or two ago, I went to my bank and sat down with a bank officer, and asked them about PayPal. They reassured me it was safe, legitimate, and that they use it themselves (!) I’ve been using it since, and have never had any problems.

I’m conservative (with my own finances, liberal with others  ) and don’t keep very much money in my PP account. But it is a really handy way to buy things on Ebay, etc.

Thanks for the info Trinopus. I would never have thought of using it if not for seeing it talked about here on the Dope.

Let me introduce you to a number of other neat internet services you may have not heard of:

PayPal is great, but if you are a new users there really isn’t anyway to get the money in your hands “fast”. You can get it from whoever is sending you the money quickly, but actually getting it to use it takes a week or 10 days. You have to have it transferred to your bank account or a check sent to you. Once you have some history with PP, you can get a PP MasterCard debit card. (I was a business customer, I don’t know if consumer customers can get it as well). With this debit card I had instant access to funds sent to me as soon as they hit PP.

That really wasn’t necessary, Omar Little.

That’s why I asked what Becky2844 wanted the PP account for. It can be a great tool if you do business or get paid online, buy and sell with eBay a lot or whatever but the transfer rate can be quite slow, especially for new accounts.

I have a PP debit Mastercard and I am a consumer customer.

You all are stellar. I thank you.
