A few days ago (You know, it could be a week or two ago, I really don’t remember) I ran across a thread complaining about an application and Windows XP. The specific complaint was that after installing the app, the person’s computer lost an hour. He or she (I think it was a he) was both lamenting a system that would lose and hour like that and pondering what could have caused the problem.
All in all, a pretty normal thread talking about a pretty unique problem. At the time, I read it and moved on, only because I was clueless as to an answer to his/her problem.
Earlier this morning, however, as I’m catching up with some e-mail, I happen to run across an article in a newsletter that specifically talks about the problem said poster was bitching about… to a tee!
Since I never saw a resolution to their problem, and since I’ve been in that boat before where no answer was forthcoming, I’d probably be nice of me to offer up the solution and save that person some grief.
The only thing is, after searching for a bit, I can’t find the damn thing. I searched all over the place and finally gave up when it was obvious more people were logging onto this site and things were starting to lag (Don’t want to overburden an already taxed server), so I gave up.
