We took our two younger kids on a short cruise this summer. Everybody had fun, even though they didn’t take advantage of the kids’ activities on board ship very much. They stayed with us a lot more than I expected them to. But they liked the trip enough to want to do it again. Now, my husband is a big Disney fan, so we’ve talked about taking the Disney cruise sometime. But I’m wondering what it’s like for teenagers. I can see how it would be great for small children, and adults who can relax and enjoy the Disney characters and such, but I wonder how it is for teens. So, I’m asking for input from anybody who has done the cruise, not necessarily with kids that age, but who could tell me what they observed about the situation. Thanks.
While you’re waiting for a reply, here’s an excerpt from the classic “Mickey & Minnie’s divorce” joke:
Mickey–“Wait a minute, your honor. I never said she was crazy; I said she was…”
I would say it depends on what teen-range… big difference in maturity between 13 and 19. 13 or 14, I’d say they wouldn’t enjoy it as much because they would find it “childish”… but plenty of 18 /19 year-olds enjoy DisneyWorld, especially if it is a break from school… it is also a pretty subjective decision…
