Need song for a CD for friend's birthday

My friend’s birthday is coming up and I want to make a nice, special CD. So far, I only have two songs

Thank You - Boy 2 Men
I’ll be there for you - ( I forget the name of the band)

I need more corny/friendly songs like that for the CD. She likes all kind of music, so I’ll put almost anything on this CD.

Can anyone help me out?

Glad All Over - Dave Clarke 5

(because you make me <dum dum> GLAD ALL OVER!!!)

Birthday by The Sugarcubes

The Rembrandts.

How about “Thank You for Being a Friend”? About as corny as it gets.
“Your Song” – Elton John
“You’re My Best Friend” – Queen

Friendship, by Tenacious D:

Happy Birthday to Me, by Cracker:

These are all great. Anyone got some more?

“Better Things” by the Kinks, from their Give the People What They Want album. I’m surprised this one never became a major hit for them.

“Silly Love Songs” by Wings

“Somebody to Love” by Queen

Two of Us - The Beatles

Have a Good Time - Paul Simon

Cake for Breakfast

Off the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago cd and sung by Greg Lee. (be sure to include his disclaimer)

Moon River is also a good syrupy friendship song. It was Andy Williams’s signature song but has been recorded by many artists.

Aerosmith - Deuces are Wild
I especially like the “'cuz you and me is two of a kind” part. My best friend and I used to sing it together all the time.

Lean on Me by Bill Withers

Thanks again, anymore?

[/bump]

“I Will Be There” by Curt Smith. Might be hard to find (I haven’t checked my, erm, sources, since I own the album), but delightfully syrupy.

You’ve Got a Friend by Carole King.

Corny as all get out, but the chorus still makes me tear up.
