Need suggestions for good dial-up service.

I can no longer afford comcast, so it’s back to dial-up. But hopefully not back to AOL. Earthlink has a 6 months half price deal, but I don’t know anything about them.

Anything but AOHell. I’m sticking with cable, but back when I had dialup, I went through several: a local provider (sucked), Bell South (sucked), and Earthlink. I was happy with Earthlink’s service.

I’ve been using NetZero (it’s now called United Online, NetZero and Juno merged a while ago) for about two years. Originally it was totally free, then free for 40 hours a month now I pay $9.95 per month for unlimited service. I have never ever had a problem using it. There are no banner ads and I don’t get spam or anything. They just introduced web-based email which I really like. I whole-heartedly without reservation recommend it, except one caveat. I don’t know about the phone number availability. Check on that first and good luck!

If they have it where you live, do NOT get Amacom. It’s horrible.
