Need the name of a crappy song

No, not just any crappy song, I have a particular one in mind. (I sincerely apologize for even wasting anyone’s time on one of these questions but…)

Yesterday, my chiropractor somehow got on the subject of some crappy free concert he saw in like '93. One of the “bands” performing was a “rock n roll” (I doubt that) singer who was something of a one hit wonder.

The only info I have to go on: His crappy song contained the lyrics “In the house of stone and lime”.

Oh yeah, and the melody was “da-da,da-da-da-dum”. Believe me, it’s just as helpful here as when he tries to hum it.

I’m not trying to waste your time- if anyone can name that tune with the above line, I would be glad to have the thread closed. I just want to give him an answer so he’ll quit talking about it!

A lyric search came up with Martin Page- In The House of Stone and Lime.

I don’t know what band he’s with, or even if he’s with a band (It credits him as a writer), but it’s a start.

Don’t know the singer but I’m pretty sure the lyric was “in the house of stone and light”. Also, the song is only a few years old. I’ll look.

It is Martin Page’s In the House of Stone and Light, not lime.

And while it isn’t the greatest album in the history of music, it ain’t so bad either. Phil Collins and Robbie Robertson are on it a lot, and there’s a few good track. So PPTTHTHHH!!! :slight_smile:
