Let’s come up for a word that describes the spewing from nose and/or mouth all over the keyboard that results from the reading of something incredibly funny on the SDMB.
My nomination is snork.
snork. snorked. snorking.

snork. snorked. snorking.
A good word, but it would have more of a chance with the charm of irregularity, vis: snork, snorkled, asnorkling.

I thought of that, but I do believe that snorkling is already taken.
How about snorple? Snorpled. Snorpling.
I’m thinking somthing that incorporates the laughing part, not just the spewing…
splaugh, splaughing and splaughed.
It’s hard to type to - lots of opportunity for misspelling, I like that!
In polite disagreement with Lost’s preferences, I think the word should be the keyboard equivalent of onomatopoeia. That is, it should represent the keys struck by the sputum in question. Therefore, I nominate mjkuy6b, which is what I got when I smashed my head down on the keyboard just then.
Oh, and that would be
I mjkuy6b
you mjkuy6b
he/she/it mjkuy6bs
we mjkuy6b
you mjkuy6b
they mjkuy6b
to mjkuy6b, mjkuy6bed, have mjkuy6bed, have been mjkuy6bing
pronunciation: just as it is spelled
Hijack
Snork eh? wasn't there a kid's TV show called the snorks? If I remember correctly, it was a big obvious ripoff of the smurfs and didn't last very long...
*** **End Hijack** ***
Seriously though, how about *spiggle* sort of a combination spit and giggle?
Well, didn’t they spew out the top of their heads when they were happy and/or excited? Seems to fit.
Splort…
I like spiggle. Just my $0.02.
Doesn’t spittake sufficiently cover the definition?
Gads, I remember seeing the last spittake Danny Thomas did, on the Letterman show. Macauley Culkin did the setup; a thing o’ beauty it were.
“Suddenly, slythe read something so funny it caused him to esnorkulate all over his keyboard.”
E-missives that cause this could be called e-snorks.
If there are synonyms, it would be easier to write a limerick about the subject.
[Which, y’all should be grateful to note, I will not attempt.]
