Random curiosity, is Sesame Street the longest running non-news show on Television? I can’t think of anything else that’s gone on for 39 years except shows like the nightly news and 60 minutes.
Guiding Light’s been on longer. But if you don’t count news, sports, soap operas, and anthology series like Hallmark Hall of Fame, Sesame Street takes the crown.
