The Missouri supreme court is hearing arguments today about the constitutionality of a law recently passed that requires nude dancers (juice bar, not topless with pasties, but nude) to be 19 years old.
I’d really like to hear from anyone who thinks the law was a good use of tax dollars in making.
Now, telling me it’s wrong for people to dance nude isn’t going to be of much help, we all know we’re sinning when we get a lapdance, I’m wanting to know why it’s a good law in terms of the betterment of society.
18… 19… whassa difference?
now if it was moved to 19 from … say… 16… THAT would be a good idea.
In my opinion, though, if you are old enough to vote, and old enough to drive a car, you should be old enough to dance nekkid… and drink alcohol for that matter… hell, you should be able to drive down to the voting booth nekkid and drinkin…
and when I am elected President I will make it a duty to see that there is a drunk nekkid 18 year old dancer at EVER voting booth! …
sorry. got carried away
So does this Missouri law mean that all that dancing about that newborn babies do in hospitals while the Doctor & nurses count their fingers & toes and otherwise check them out is illegal? They are nude, and well under age 19 – only minutes old!
How soon can we expect Missouri Sheriffs to start heading into hospital birthing rooms to enforce this law?
And how soon can we expect the Missouri Legislature to start paying attention to the serious problems in the state instead of stuff like this?
Frankly, I’m doubtful that Missouri society is going to be cleaned up by requiring dancers to be 19. High school seniors may also occasionally be 19, so you’d have to make it 20…
In any case, the age of consent is long past at 18- are they seriously suggesting that a woman may consensually have sex at 18 but not dance naked at 18?
Apart from anything else, the pool of available dancers who don’t yet have that horrible jaded look that old strippers get is going to be halved…
