Nerdy LOTR Request Re: Spoilers

Chronos Your assumption is, or should be correct. Tolkien newbies should always assume there are spoilers in any Tolkien thread.

Clair Yes anyone who has seen the trailers or the cast list for [TTT] has seen Olorin, but I’ll wager there will be at least two threads complaining about it next month— in 23 days, but who’s counting.

At the very end, a little piece of evil is left in a toaster…

The Silmarillion is a different beast - there’s no movie about it. So if you post spoilers about it, I don’t think you’ll irritate many people, because most will stop with the trilogy and The Hobbit (if that).

But if it’s a general Tolkien thread, then there’s apt to be spoilers of the trilogy/Hobbit and the movies; hopefully people will assume this might happen in such a (general) thread.

Arwen turns out to be a guy…

Alright, how about this? If someone asks a question or makes a comment about the movie The Two Towers then the book Return of the King is off limits (or rather, requires a spoiler box or warning). But if someone asks a question about Tolkien or the book Two Towers, or about how the movie relates to these, then open discussion the book Return of the King is okay.
