This belongs in the pit. There are no polite words for planning to test nerve gas on your allies’ soldiers, or for the Government that was going to allow their ally to do this terrible thing.
At least by being lost at sea, Harold Holt thwarted those who might want to spit on his grave after the release of these documents.

The United States did stuff like that to it’s citizens too. Don’t be surprised about Australia.
S’orrite, we expect stuff like that from our more powerful military allies. The poms were big on having our guys stand really close to exploding nukes in the 50’s.
