Is there a reason I’m missing as to why my dad isn’t able to find any download options in the Netflix app on his Kindle Fire? It works just fine on his iPad, but all the stuff involved with downloading seems to be absent from the KF. I’ve checked the OS and app versions, and they seem up to date. Google has been of minimal aid.

The big problem may be the term “kindle fire”. Amazon hasn’t made a tablet with that designation for several years.
Find out if it is a Kindle (unlikely) or a Fire tablet. Then go to Amazon and enter the right phrase: e.g., “Netflix for fire tablet”.
Yes, I wasn’t specific enough. My dad got the capability to download videos from Netflix, but doesn’t seem to have the capacity or option to do so in the app, except on the iPad.
I can download on mine, but I installed Netflix from the Google Play Store. Maybe the one on Amazon’s App Store hasn’t been updated yet.
I updated today and the first thing it did was notify me I can now download.
