There is a free one month membership to netflix.
It tells me they need a activation code that I will find on my device. I’m not really up on computers and do not know how to do this. I’m 64 and new to this stuff.
Can anyone help me. I need step by step instructions.
Thread title edited to make subject clearer.
It will probably help if you tell us what sort of device it is.
I have an old (2005) dell laptop. running windows 7.
This is supposed to be good for streaming.
If you know how to do the streaming, that’s great.
If this machine can not do it, that’s okay, but tell me if I can or can not do it and why.
Netflix should go through it, step by step, for us older guys who are not up on all these kind of things.
I’m interested in getting Netflix but don’t know how to go about it.
They, also, pick out movies that I might like, I don’t want this. I’ll look through them and pick the ones I want.
Yeah, I don’t know. I just tried it on my computer. I logged into netflix, selected a show and it started streaming the first episode. The only times I’ve been asked for activation codes is when I’ve used a device like a tablet or a phone in conjunction with a netflix app. As far as I know, if you’re trying to watch on an actual computer it will just work.
If your watching Netflix on your laptop, you don’t need an activation code.
An activation code is something you would use on your phone or tablet.
Did you install the Netflix app? Don’t bother with it. Just go to the Netflix website and watch shows from there.
