I think you can expedite things if you use the same post office that Netflix uses and you have a post office box. My Netflix center is the main post office by the airport. I’ve used that a couple of times when I couldn’t return my movie on Saturday, but it doesn’t make much sense unless you are going that way anyway. It is also handy to know when the last pick up is at you local post office.
Giving the OP the benefit of the doubt (which, I realize, is not *de rigeur *for the Pit), might he have meant that the selection of streaming video has become frustrating? I’d love to be able to watch *Law & Order *when the mood hits, for example.
Not sure it’s worth pitting, especially given Monkey’s citation of Louis CK above, but that would make a bit more sense.
Look, if someone starts a thread like this, and then adamantly refuses to return to explain themselves or talk about the position they’ve espoused in the OP, must we keep them around? Seriously, can’t we just chuck 'em overboard and move on?
I love Netflix. Big selection of documentaries. Jinx, are you coming back?
Yeah… this.
Yeah I have a Panasonic plasmascreen too and part of the reason to get it was the fact that it has the best 3d quality on the market. I kind of enjoy the 3d movies, it adds a level of immersion.
You need Law and Order on netflix? TNT plays that show 24 hours a day.
Isn’t TBS all L&O all the time now?
ETA: I hate you Harborwolf. This is what I get for tabbed browsing…
I’m watching a LOT more netflix streaming at $9 a month than I was dish networks at $120 a month. Extremely worth it. Netflix could raise their prices to $20 a month and it’d still beat the pants off traditional cable tv.
These are the sorts of reasons I’m going to cancel the streaming when the new plans take effect. I think that Netflix is an awesome service, and (for me) the most awesome thing about it is the set-and-forget part of it. I hear about a movie I want to see, and I go add it to my queue. Except for very rare exceptions, they have it, and I’ll eventually get it. I don’t want to have to manage my schedule or check to see that a movie will still be available in a month or any of that crap.
Only bare basic cable. And what if I get a hankering for vintage CSI?
It has? Link
I was about to post exactly the same thing.
Luckily, Jinx provided some more fodder less than an hour ago.
Here is my submission for the most retarded Jinx post. Can you beat it?
I dont have broadcast tv so anything I watch will be on the internet, streaming netflix or a dvd
That is an excellent candidate, although this one comes close.
What are you talking about Netflix for? Isn’t this a thread Pitting Jinx?
hmm the header and previous page are about Netflix.
It was a joke.
This might be the winner. Note the thread title as well as the question.
My first impulse is that Jinx isn’t all that bad. Most of the barbs above stem from the poster’s ignorance and apathy on using search engines. I’d call these venal sins, really. Truly aggravating posters are the willfully irrational or reality-bending. Jinx doesn’t rise to this level.
Then I saw the dates of some of these.
Man, if you haven’t learned to Wiki or Google something before coming to the Dope after EIGHT YEARS, I don’t think it’s ever happening.
