New Beard - Make the Itching Stop!

I’m on day 8 without shaving, past the “you look like a bum” stage, moving into the “Oh, you’re growing a beard” phase. The itching wasn’t bad until today. I’ve had a few beards, so I know it will pass. But all I can think about is taking one of those wire brushes you use to clean the grill and rubbing it all over my face.

I’m still unsure what shape the final product will take. Last year I opted for the goat, this year may be more of a full-face effort.

Any suggestions? Preferences?

I like goatees.

And for that pesky itch, I’ve got the wire brush I was using to scrape the porch. C’mere…:scritch, scritch, scritch…: That better?

Much. Thanks

I’ve had a many a goatee in the past. The itching can be relieved by applying the astringent “witch hazel”, which is probably available at your local drug store. In Canada, many drug stores produce their own brand of this liquid - e.g. Shopper’s Drug Mart and their “Life” brand.

Or heck, just any sort of dandruff shampoo’ll do ya. Always works for me, and it’s a good idea, besides- your scalp’s not the only place you can get dandruff.
