The book is based on an incomplete memoir found in John Wayne’s papers.

I found the book on Amazon. But it’s not available in Kindle. That’s really weird for a newly published book. The hardcover is high priced. I haven’t decided yet if its worth buying. I need to learn more about the author first. I see Michael Goldman also wrote a book on Clint Eastwood.

The disclosure is in a memoir he was working on that lay undiscovered among family papers. It said Wayne, who died in 1979, was working at 20th Century Fox in the 1920s simply to pay the bills.
