New border wall question.

General Questions because I’m looking for simple facts.

I’m having no luck finding images of whatever (if anything) that has been built. I see photos of proposed walls and such, and of course pictures of people climbing a ‘slat’ wall.

My Google foo is failing. Is there a design?

I would think that if any of this is actually happening, there would be plenty of pictures. From what I can find, the only work that has been done is on existing fence/wall.

Here is some video footage, you can see the design pretty clearly.

As for the “existing fence/wall”, there has been some work on replacing existing fencing, and at least in some cases it was replacing vehicle barriers (incapable of stopping pedestrians) with more significant slat-wall structures that, well, if they don’t stop all pedestrians they’re certainly more significant obstacles to their passage.

Here are a couple of recent CBP press releases that contain images and video of some of the new construction:

Thanks HD. That was from 9/19/19. So that part of the wall is a slat wall.

You’re correct of course saying that “if they don’t stop all pedestrians they’re certainly more significant obstacles to their passage.”

I assume it’s been recently built.
