New cars on display inside malls - A few Q's?

I’m sure most of us have seen them, the new models parked in the middle of the malls. I’m curious about a few things.
1 How long is a car typically there?
2 Is it ever started up to circulate fluids during this time?
3 Is it brought to get washed every so often, or washed in place?

I assume these cars will be sold after a while, and just wondering what level of care they get.

In Northern Ireland, I’ve only ever seen them there for a weekend promotion. I assume they are returned to be displayed in the dealer’s garage.

Usually they are a marketing campaign by a local car dealership. They are rarely in the mall longer than a week, thus starting them up to circulate the fluids is hardly an issue. Fluid management is really only an issue if you are storing the car for extended periods of time (seasonally). They are delivered in the off business hours (late in the evening/early morning) and are pretty clean already. There are dealership rep/salespeople usually milling about and they dust/wipe down the cars from time to time to keep them shiny. It’s really no different than having a car in a dealership showroom.

When I see one, I always ask the kids how some people such great parking spaces.

I’ve never seen them hang around long enough to get dirty. They have one at our airport that seems to change every time I take a week’s trip.

As for needing to mess with the fluids, I keep a car garaged at my cabin and it will go for 9 months sitting without any maintenance. Just turn the key and it always starts right up, no squeeky belts or anything.
