New Cliche Paintings to Hate

Reading the thread about Thomas Kincaide made me realize that we need new “bad” paintings to pile on. What variations on Bad art (or Good art that is grossly overexposed) could we have?
Here’s a start:

Dogs Playing Video Poker
Elvis on Black Velvet
(only it’s Elvis Costello)
Boulevard of Succesful Dreams (instead of Elvis, Marilyn, etc. in the Helnwein parody of the Hopper painting, you have Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Jack Welch, etc. I know it’s a parody of a parody – I don’t care.)
A parody of a M.C. Escher print in which the staircase only goes up, and doesn’t paradoxically lap itlsef at the bottom. Instead, the art-figure mannikin at the bottom walks into a wall. And the one at the top steps of and falls into space.

Madonna and Child, only it’s — ahh, you can figure it out.

Any others?

Anime showing women with enormous . . . . eyes.

I was under the impression that they all did.

How about anime chjicks with big Ears? Or forearms a la Popeye?

Well, there’s always Brandon Bird, though his stuff qualifies more as ‘weird’ than ‘bad’. I think.

I never heard of Brandon Bird – those are Great! About as weird as Masami Taraoka’s offbeat Ukiyo-e-style prints.

Nighthawks.

I like Edward Hopper a lot - I have a copy of The Long Leg in my living room - but Nighthawks is rapidly approaching clichehood.

Alessan – that’s why I suggested a parody of a parody of Nighthawks above – even BoBD is a cliche.

Nighthogs.

How about The Scream, but with McCauley Culkin? On black velvet?
