…or at least new to me. In the linked article, a fellow named Trent Loos was interviewed, and he objects to carbon sequestration because either it is secretly being used to make jet fuel or if pumped underground it will contact water, resulting in an explosive chemical reaction that causes earthquakes and volcanoes. There is no mention in the article regarding the actual risk of CO₂ pipeline leaks sometimes causing suffocation deaths.
I tried Googling this gibberish and kept getting all sorts of links to chemtrail “information” instead. Has anyone else encountered this carbon sequestration / jet fuel CT, or is this guy shoveling it solo?
It’s no secret that one research area is to take captured carbon and react it with hydrogen to produce carbon-neutral fuels. Of which jet fuel would be a prime candidate due to the difficulty in electrifying long-haul plane flight.
It’s nonsense to claim there is some conspiracy here, or that it’s as simple as blending the CO2 with hydrogen. But as with the case of many conspiracy theorists, they take a real thing, largely misunderstand it, take it wildly out of content, and then put some kind of sinister spin on to make it sound worse than what’s happening. But yes, it’s a real thing that people want to make jet fuel out of captured carbon.
From the link: “Trent Loos, a Nebraska-based agriculture advocate and radio personality who grew up in Adams County, is the executive director of the Free Soil Coalition”
Trent Loos, along with his wife, is the “Free Soil Coalition”.
Man, it’d be great if all we had to do to turn carbon dioxide into an energetic substance was to bring it in contact with water. If that were the case, all of our energy problems would be solved!
