Yay, I hoped it was going to be another Dobie! Congratulations!
ETA: Where did you get him?
Dung Beetle - I got her off Craigslist. Another person with “not enough time”. I think people forget that puppies are puppies for quite a long time! But she’s very sweet, good in the house, good with the other dogs and the cats. I couldn’t ask for a better dog. She goes in for her spay next week, and she has a skin issue that looks maybe like allergies, which can be hard to manage.

It looks like she’s about to start on a great new life. That’s awesome.
Wow! Not only in to a loving home but a loving home with lots of playmates!
Cute dog
A new leash on life! Lovely!
It is amazing how they become a part of the family so quick. We always had two dogs for about 25 years. When one pass on to doggy heaven we had another within a week or two. Then when the last died have not gotten another.
I miss having a dog in the home.
Beautiful pack!
She’s a cutie!
That’s a whole lot of big dogs! Wonderful to see a dog get a great new home.
She’s settling in so well! She hasn’t had a single accident in the house. She’s getting along well with all the other dogs and they with her. She’s a happy girl, glad to be laying beside me when I watch TV or I’m on the computer. I couldn’t ask for a better addition to the family. She goes in next week for her spay and to have the vet advise me about her skin.

Good news…
That’s a lot of lucky dogs. But I have to ask, I was scrolling your photos, and I came across the picture of a big snake.
Story on that?
Truman Burbank - Which big snake? The one being held in front of the guy? Killed a couple hundred feet away from my property. The coiled rattlesnake? Killed in my yard. The two corn snakes mating on the tree? On the tree by my gate. Snakes aplenty in Tennessee.

Looks like they have a great yard to play in too! Congrats.
Morgernstern - My fenced yard is a bit under an acre, with another 3/4 acre behind it fenced as a dry lot for my mini horse. When Peanut is out, I let the dogs in there, too. I have about acres, but most of it’s fenced for horses, not dogs. It’s a good place to be a dog, snakes not withstanding.

I was asking about the big 6-footer being held at the end of the pole. What kind of snake is that? And how do you let the dogs out without undue worry with poisonous snakes around? When i visited a Texas ranch with my Golden I worried aobut it quite a bit (there were rattlers and cottonmouths in the pond, so I was told).
I’m not sure what kind of snake, the pic resolution isn’t very good and I didn’t see it myself, my neighbor sent me the picture. I think it’s a rattler, though. I’d been walking in the brush were that snake was just a week before it was killed.
I keep my yard mowed pretty short, so snakes are more visible. I just do the best I can to keep us safe. I carry my phone when I walk down to the barn, and I keep that mowed, too.

Beautiful dog.
Stress can cause skin rashes. I’d try a bath with a very gentle soap with no dye or perfume, maybe tea tree only on the spots if she tolerates it, followed by lots of reassurance. Of course, it could also be fleas.
I haven’t seen a flea on her. She came to me like this a week ago, and it does seem to me she’s scratching less now. The girl who had her was working 6 days a week, 11 hours a day, so she was being left alone a lot. I work from home two days a week and don’t work those long hours, plus she has the other dogs for company, so I think she’s happier. I’ll see what the vet says on Thursday when she goes in for her spay.
