New fast food restaurant chains: Unworkable ideas

I think I’d be into Der Pumpkin Haus.

Sounds like a hip-hop group somehow.

Hey–Best of the Wurst is pretty good! They have some of the best sausages ever.

Peter Cook and Dudley Moore used to do a sketch about a restaurant that served some really revolting dishes. I can’t remember what it was called, though. I’d ask my wife, but she’s not a well woman–not well at all.

It was probably the Frog and Peach , as mentioned above.

If you’d commit hara-kiri if you don’t get Indian food quickly, go to:

Hurry Curry

It’s named after a perfectly respectable river. Just like the Humptulips Grocery and Bait Shop.

Coastal Salish and its variants put out some great placenames.

Mrs. Lovett’s Meat Pies

Take a Crepe
The Diet of Worms
The Buggery
Ron Jeremy’s Meat Shack
MRE King
Pizza Slut
Creamy Gene’s

Wok the Dog: Fine Korean dining. I thought of this one when I worked for my mom at our dog grooming shop. I so wanted to answer the phone with that sometime.

Costume-themed stuff like Maid Cafes are pretty popular in Japan. Somehow, I can’t see them catching on quite as well in the West. Sure there are guys that fetishize maid uniforms and stuff, but not to the extent that Japanese guys do. YouTube link.

You’d think that Bikkuri Donkey! (Surprised Donkey!) would be a bad name for a restaurant. You’d be wrong. They’re all over the place here. No donkey or even horse on the menu though, just hamburg steak and typical family restaurant fare.

No, the line is “She’s not a well woman. She could never stand going down the well to get the frogs.”

The Bukkake Diner- All You can Eat

There’s a restaurant around here (maybe a chain?) called Backyard Burgers. Of course, I always call them Backdoor Burgers.

The men don’t like it, but the little girls understand.

Casa d’Olestra

(“Come for the food – stay for the restrooms!”)

Celery Cellar
Fish ‘n’ Chimps
Ye Olde Stuffed Cabbage
