New Google Voice Search in Chrome--Thoughts?

I think it’s entirely pointless and gimmicky. I dunno. Is there a good reason to use this? I’d think it’s for people who have trouble with technology if it weren’t only available in Chrome.

They are trying to make their voice processing software better. It’s the same reason they do it to YouTube videos.

It makes sense in certain applications; people with disabilities or using computers with virtual keyboards (not really a market segment at the moment, but growing).

I think, at this point, it’s mostly a “why not?” The tech is already built for Android voice search, which is extremely useful.

how long until I can teach Google to say “chill out, dickwad”?
