New iPod won't play my iTunes!

I didn’t pay $200 for this iPod to not play my music. I have some songs from iTunes that show up on the iPod, but they won’t play. It just skips to the next song. I’d burned the songs to a CD earlier, so I tried to import them like a regular audio CD, but that didn’t work either. My audio CD’s seem to play on the iPod just fine, why won’t my iTunes?

My iPod is one of the new mini iPods, 4G. It’s only got about 100 songs on it so far, so it can’t be full.

What format are they in? AAC? MP3? Did you buy them from the iTunes music store? Do they play okay in iTunes itself?

If you bought them from the iTMS, they should play with no problems… there should be no DRM restrictions for the iPods. But either way, if it’s your music, and your iPod, there should be no problem.

My guess is it’s a format issue, or the files could be corrupt.

Personally, I’ve never had an issue like that concerning all of my music. And that’s a lot.

They’re just regular iTunes songs. I bought them off of iTunes several months ago. I did get some of them to play on the iPod now. I think importing them as an audio CD worked.

However, I tried to import my Massive Attack CD, which worked just fine, but now the computer won’t eject the CD.

I don’t know anything about computers. Why is it doing this?

I assume you’ve tried tech support? I havn’t had much success with them myself but it’s probably worth a try.

Sometimes the iPod will not play songs until they have been played in iTunes first, I don’t know why. You may find more help in the forums at http://www.ipodlounge.com/
