It sure is interesting how conservatives take the words and experiences of people like Omar and Tlaib at face value when they’re criticizing those perceived to be on the left, but then turn around and dismiss them as extremist nutballs who shouldn’t be taken seriously when they’re issuing similar criticisms for the much-more-widespread and mainstream-acceptable bigotries on the right.
For variable definitions of “interesting,” of course.
I’d heard something to that effect.

Holy crap, you are not kidding! I hadn’t paid attention to Newsmax, but I just looked at one article about Trump telling McConnell it is too soon to give up. The comments are something else. What a shit-show. Here is just a small sampling of the garbage coming out of that “news” site:

Very true. I have headed over there a couple times a day to see some of the comments. Positively crazy - if you think Yahoo! comments were bad, this is a new level of bad. Even if only half the posters are only half serious about what they are posting, the level of delusion is serious - these people will not be reached by any fact, truth, or craft, and the free-flowing nature of misinformation on the internet only keeps them going.
They are throwing former “club” members under the bus as soon as they turn coat to acknowledge Biden won (this week alone: Barr, McConnell, and even Newsmax itself). These posters are trying hard to isolate themselves from the rest of the world, with Trump as their dear leader. It’s pretty concerning, if you ask me. Hopefully, the threats and rhetoric will die down after Inauguration day, but who knows.
Well, so much for free speech, I guess?
Parler has to be an FBI set up to ring all the nutjobs in one place. The amount of screenshots of threats and civil war that are mask off is eye-opening. These aren’t veiled threats.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they have informants on there.

Or it could be the product of a “make your own newspaper clipping”, which it was.
I just found a phishing attempt in my inbox, wanting to direct me to “Amazon” at a parler.com address.
Several days ago, I mentioned on another board that I’m not hearing much about Parler right now. Hmmmm, wonder why?
I’m seeing reports that Apple is going to be pulling Parler from the app store.
I just saw (on FB, believe it or nuts) that all true Trump supporters are supposed to delete their FB pages on 1/2 when Biden is sworn in. 
I suspect things are going to get interesting now that Trump has been perma-banned from Twitter as of today 1/8/21. And since FB is shutting him out until after 1/20/21 . . . yeah. Interesting times.
In newer breaking news today, Google Play has dropped the Parler app from the store (although existing versions will continue to work and you can always use the browser), and Apple is giving Parler 24 hours to enforce moderation or they will drop it as well.
Google specified that Parler (which was used to organize the protests in the Capitol in part) was not adhering to requirement to moderate created content against violence.
And the RWNJs and other people who don’t know what the First Amendment really says are going ape-doodoo about this. No, it’s NOT censorship; a private company can decide to have anyone or anything they want, or ban whatever they want.
