I was never a New Kids fan, but be that as it may…

I’m surprised and a bit disappointed if Donnie Wahlberg is involved in the reunion, because he’d worked so hard and so successfully to make a new career for himself as a legitimate actor.

Look, if he was offered an obscene amount of money, I can’t blame him for taking it. But whereas other guys in the group have probably been hoping for this moment for years, I thought Donnie had pretty much put it behind him.

The actor is Mark (Marky-Mark) Wahlberg, isn’t it? Donnie’s brother? I really don’t remember seeing Donnie in…well, anything other than NKOTB videos.

I think Mark is better, but Donnie is a respectable actor. And he has 33 credits on his IMDB page.

Huh. I’ve somehow totally missed Donnie Wahlberg’s complete acting career, from start to finish. Weird…

He was fantastic as Carwood Lipton in “Band of Brothers”. And I also hear that this reunion was his idea.

Donnie was also in “The Sixth Sense” - I think that is where I first noticed his acting career. I didn’t recognize him at all in that movie. (I got the name from the credits, and went, “Holy crap! That was Donnie Wahlberg?!?”)
