My classic Waring bar blender finally bit the dust, so I bought the new Kitchen Aid blender. It has a 56oz polycarbonate container and sports a .9 HP motor. The MSRP is $129 but it is on sale for $99 plus a $20 rebate. I just love it. I made frozen margaritas kast night and pesto tonite. The coolest thing is the ice crushing mode which automatically pulses. I used this to start the pesto and it helped avoid the splash from startup. I liked the concistency of the blender pesto more than when I kake it in my food processor (I am too lazy for mortar and pestle).
