Any Micra owners out there? I recently lost mine to the TSA. Went out today to buy a new Micra and the scissors seem to wiggle more than I remember. That is, with the scissors open, and holding one “leg” of the scissors, I can move the other leg about half an inch before it engages with anything.
I thought my other Micra was pretty tight.
Do you have one? Does yours work the same way? Need answer sort-of fast.
I guess mine’s loose. From the widest-open I can get the scissors, there’s a small gap - maybe a quarter inch (on the blade end. on the handle end it may be a half inch) - before there’s any pushback from the thingy that pushes back.
Still better than Swiss Army knife scissors by a long shot.
I have some Swiss Army knife scissors that use bendy metal instead of a spring and they have worked great for thirty years or so. It’s on one of those pretty wide knives with a magnifying glass and everything. I agree that the spring ones are terrible.

My Micra, which I have had since 2001, has about 1/2 inch of play in the scissors just as you describe. I keep it on my key chain, and use it daily (but don’t abuse it).
I guess mine was all gunked up from staying in my pocket or something. Anyway, I kept the one I posted about. Thanks for the feedback!
