New movie "Vaxxed" reopens discussion about the link between autism and vaccines

I may have missed it. Have the anti-vaxxers claimed that vaccines potentially cause cancer, yet? Seems like a “logical” step for their agenda.

The evidence? People who have been vaccinated can get cancer after the vaccinations! Thus it is proven.

Oh, that’s a phrase for the ages.

It cures autism and cancer. A sure sign of quackery.

Oh, of course!

I won’t like to an actual claim of such, because I don’t want to give them any page views, but this one is to a debunking of the “vaccines cause cancer” claim: Anti-vaccine trope that polio vaccine caused cancer — debunked

I think you mean a sure sign of AWESOME!

Bleach enemas for everyone!

Now, what about anti-aging? And anti-HIV? Surely, we must consider this when evaluating these claims?

I mean, there is an anecdote from some unqualified internet source that proves this, right?

Until that father and son have vivisected dogs in their garage to test it, I have no comment.

No, no, Good Sir! I heard an anecdote on the interweb! Surely, this counts as much weight as some article in those unbelievable rags like Science or Nature! I can’t be bothered to list all the misinformation published in other journals!

Don’t you know! Publication in the Scientific Record is a fraud! Because…Yeah! It doesn’t agree with my bullshit!

So…Um…There, Yeah!

Nope. You must torture the most trusting of all animals before I believe it.

Dude is starting to make me think of a slightly more intelligent, subtler version of Wildest Bill.

Just curious…what if scientists come up with a vaccine that prevents autism?

…and it only works if combined with three or four other vaccines?

They already have. It’s called the MMR. Rubella infection has been linked to autism (as one causative factor), and may have a more widespread role than previously thought.

Oh, and MMS (a.k.a. industrial bleach) does in fact cure HIV/AIDS. Just google Jim Humble and his Genesis 2 church (of the holy bleach).

I know it’s not from the rubella vaccine, but after reading the beginning of that article I feel like I should get a tattoo of a laurel wreath around that star-shaped scar on my upper arm.

You know I try but dang you people expect some sort of college level term paper answer with all kinds of references and you know what, I’m just some guy on the web sharing an opinion. I’m not a scientist or doctor and I’m not about to do tons of research on this. All I’m saying is there is a movie out which will soon by coming to your community. If you want to ask “experts” who can answer your questions I’d suggest showing up for the Q and A and talking to Wakefield and the others yourself. This is what happened here in Kansas City where he took the time to answer questions from protesters outside the theater and members of the medical community inside.

Oh, I dont know. You didnt change my mind and I didnt change yours.

I succeeded in publicizing the movie and the ideas it brings up.

So frankly I won.

You are an ignorant anti-vaxer.
'Nuff said.

No good - it causes measles.

Shodan

You claimed you wanted answers to questions in your OP.

So frankly you lied.

The only question I have that Wakefield is qualified to answer is “At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”

Did you actually read any of the provided cites? Wakefield is a fraudster that in the pursuit of money has legitimized a falsehood which leads to dead children. ***You ***are supporting dangerous lies that endanger children and the vulnerable.

Don’t for a moment consider yourself a brave gadfly of the medical establishment; you’re a useful idiot.
