I am sick of “Oh say can you see…”, interpreted by everyone from Adam Ant to U2. Especially in times of war and massive media driven sports programs, at least an anthem should be listenable and have a decent beat.
Also, we are moving into a post-literate, maybe even post-English language, culture! That’s why my suggestion is “Rock and Roll Part II” by Gary Glitter, the “Hey” song at sports games.
