New, or different, (alcoholic) drinks

Devised by myself and my friend Val during a drunken rampage in the kitchen. We probably shouldn’t have been operating a blender while intoxicated, but hey, no one was hurt.

I hereby present: The Moojie Mist*

  1. Throw about a quarter-gallon of sherbet into the blender. We used raspberry, but use whatever kind you have in the freezer (although rainbow will come out looking kind of gross).

  2. Pour vodka over the sherbet until blender is full, leaving about 2 inches clearance at the top.

  3. Dump in about a half-cup of sugar.

  4. Top off with Cool Whip.

  5. Hit “puree.”

  6. Stop blender and put the lid on.

  7. Wipe your face off and hit “puree” again.

  8. Pour results into tall glass, top off with Cool Whip, add umbrella and a maraschino cherry.

  9. When you sober up, spend half a day on your hands and knees, scrubbing up the sticky pink splatters before your mom and dad return from their trip out of town.

*The drink was inspired by and named for my then-12 year old baby sister, whose nickname is Moojie. She was in the kitchen with us, standing watch, convinced that one of us was going to lose a finger. Actually, I think we made it in the hopes of getting her drunk, but she wouldn’t even try it.

Cranberry juice (low calorie), diet Sprite, a healthy shot of vodka, and two ripe strawberries plopped in. Delicious summery goodness.

Irish Cream and vanilla almond milk. Not as bad as it sounds!

ME

I made up a drink a couple of months ago that I really liked: Light rum, Kaluha, and cola of choice (I used Boylan’s Cane Cola and also RC Cola and both were good. Haven’t tried it with coke). Maybe a shot of rum, shot of Kaluha, fill up the glass with cola beverage.

Yummy.

-In the vodka and Red Bull spirit, we have created the Crabby Bull, vodka, cranberry juice and a splash of Red Bull. Much better than a Cape Cod, IMHO.
-Not sure if Midori has done this already, but Midori, vodka and club soda is nice and refreshing.
-I am almost ashamed to say that I added vodka to the Sobe Lean grapefruit cranberry thing I got at Arby’s the other. Almost. If I wasn’t thinking about how it would taste with some Chambord in it…

And I KNOW I’m going to be throwing together one of those Vampires andymurph64 mentioned.

Just last week I discovered an incredibly girly drink I haven’t named yet–but it’s in the spirit of combining one’s alcohol intake with a mess o’caffeine: Stick a few ice cubes in the glass, go about half-full with coffee (I happened to use the previous day’s coffee that was still in the pot, but fresh coffee probably tastes pretty good, too), then a quarter of Bailey’s Irish Cream and top it off with Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur.

I think I’m going to call it the Valentines’ Day Amnesia Inducer.

From this thread:

My brother and I created this one last summer
we call them Blue Yummies
Ice blue lemonade Koolade and Peach Schnapps
sounds weird, but really are very yummy

I hereby give you the Deathray, equal parts:

– Orange Juice
– Mountain Dew
– High-test Vodka (Ketel One or Belvedere)

It tastes awful, but it goes down quicker than you think. It gets it’s name from its deadly effects and it’s odious flavor.

Not a new drink by any measure, but still a good standby

8oz Guiness Stout in a Glass, 1oz carolyns + 1oz jameson in a shot glass. Drop shot into cup and proceed to chug.

oh yeah thats a car bomb btw.

Also another oldie but goodie, Drink Corona past the neck, refill to the top with lemon/lime flavored rum. im not sure if that one has a name. but it sure is delicious.

Why on earth would you be tainting perfectly good vodka & Dew with orange juice? You one of them crunchy-granola health nut freaks or something?
A good summer drink is mixing a bit of raspberry liqueur with blackberry soda.

A not-so-good drink I made up in college was something I dubbed the Oxymoron: Equal parts Everclear and Jolt Cola. (I don’t recommend that anybody ever actually drink this; it’s disgusting.)

If you’re into girlie drinks, try making a cosmopolitan, then adding about half a shot of cranberry liqueur and a few drops of blackberry liqueur. It ends up tasting like really good Kool-Aid, with no taste of alcohol.

Geez folks, I was looking for entertaining drinks, not torture tools.

And I favor a local Irish pub, so the car bomb is well-known.

Key Lime Pie Martini

2 shots butterscotch schnapps
1 shot Vodka
1 shot Rose’s sweetened lime juice
Half and half

Combine all over ice. Shake. Strain.

Suprisingly potent, and tastes exactly like a slice of key lime pie. For my next sinister experiment, I think I will try it in the blender using vanilla ice cream instead of the half and half.
