What in the hell has happened to MTV? EVERYTIME I turn the station to MTV it has near-soft core porn showing, or something sexual. I am all for 1st amendment rights, and I admit I view porn often, however, this change utterly revolts me. I used to watch Loveline often, but I am so sick of all the other smut MTV shows that I cant stand to watch any of MTV now. Did Larry Flynt buy the rights to MTV or something? LOL. Does this MTV situation bother anyone else here?
Ooh… what channel is that on?

What bothers me is not what they are showing, but what they are not showing. For several years now, Music Television has not played music. Go figure…
i avoid mtv whenever possible… vh1 is far better since they actually deal with music!
I don’t watch any MTV, except for Loveline. I really enjoy that show, and have for some time. I’ll try to find the time to watch some of what you have commented on. It’s sad that you have let it ruin your viewing of a show that you enjoyed. learae
I remember when I thought VH1 was for the lame people, but either I have matured (which is true), they started showing cooler stuff(behind the music, et al) or MTV went into heavy decline. I guess all 3 of the above are acurate.
Though soft, many TV stations broadcast porn during latenight hours. Greek TV was especially enlightening.
Anyone out there have M2? I’m thinking about getting a dish (I’ve just about had it with Time Warner Cable). M2 was the MTV spinoff that was supposed to be 24-hour videos, so as to free MTV up for its Divine Mandate of running Real World marathons and anything with Britney Spears or NStync (and not near enough Celebrity Deathmatch or Daria).
Something MTV, VH1, and a lot of other cable channels do that really fries my you-know-what is: Once they find a program that is reasonably popular (Real World on MTV, Behind the Music on VH1) THAT IS ALL YOU EVER SEE ON THAT CHANNEL EVER AGAIN! Even fans of BTM and RW must get sick of it at the rate these stations re-re-re-re-re-re-rerun it!
