Welcome, roshia! You’re now in the hands of the MPSIMS crowd…snicker

Would you like some seafood? I understand the calamari is fresh!

Really, really, fresh…

:: runs, doesn’t bother ducking ::

…and this is why I love this message board. Well, that and the whole “fighting ignorance” thing. I think I’m gonna like it here.

Oh, they always say that before the …festivities.

And what do they usually end up saying, afterwards?

Yeah, “fighting” ignorance. That’s it…

Occasionally snickering at it. Often wallowing in it. Mocking it is fun once in a while, depending on whose ignorance it happens to be at that time.

We seldom encourage it, and it’s considered bad form to spot it in a forum and “egg it on”.

It’s been misspelled before I know that too. It may have been intentional, you know like saying “Ha, he mispeld eegnorants”. Like that. So maybe that doesn’t count.

Find one of the Doper Pictures threads, which I’m sure you’ve been looking at, and get your own picture up there so you can get all those “How YOU doin’?” replies.

And buy a t-shirt, or a coffee mug, although I’m not the guy to be saying that, since I haven’t yet.

And welcome.

Usually, they mercifully black out the memories and so don’t remember it.

I… don’t remember.

twitch

I rest my case.

roshia Welcome out of Lurkdom.

Enjoy the Board.

For those who didn’t understand Zoe’s post, that’s 11 sacks and it smells like victory to me. (Zoe, I posted for us in the MPSIMS thread titled “Hail to the victors, Baby”. Check it out.)

Welcome, Homegirl! On what beach do you prefer to walk? I walk some at Gulf Shores behind the Pink Pony, or sometimes at Perdido behind the Flori-Bama.

Hope you like it here. Bring your own goat to the initiation ceremony. Trust me on that one…

Well, I got groceries in bags in Ohio, but I’m now asked if I want a sack when I buy a half-gallon of milk in Indiana. So your reference to “Midwestern” needs to be narrowed down a bit.

At any rate, Zoe’s specific allusion to Alabama evokes the fact that University of Alabama quarterback Brodie Croyle was sacked (tackled behind the line of scrimmage while attempting to pass the ball) eleven times during yesterday’s 28-18 victory by Auburn over the intrastate arch-rival Crimson Tide of 'Bama. So depending on where her sympathies lie (assuming she cares more about football than you apparently do), our new friend Rachel would either be delighted or infuriated by the “sack sack sack sack sack sack sack sack sack sack sack” portion of Zoe’s post.

And now that I’ve got the ignorance-fighting portion of this message out of the way: Welcome, roshia! I’ve been to the Heart of Dixie, but only once, in 1976, for about 24 hours…
