if you are trying to keep up on the SD by clicking on “new posts”, how many pages do you go back?
and how often do you do that - once a day? twice?
I’m trying to cut down on my internet time & wondering what is the most efficient way to scan here & not miss anything good. it might be going into each forum, seems like, but I thought I’d ask.
I will look at them all.
Now that I’m between contracts, I check many times a day - whenever I’m bored.
But usually I check when I get home from work and once or twice in the evenings.
When I check in as I usually do at 1500hrs on weekdays, ‘‘new posts’’ will usually show me about 16 pages. In 2008 it was 18 pages - so regularly that I thought it was a glitch or something. I’ve never figured out why there are now two pages less.
Just the top page usually, occasionally the second one. After that, I just take a look in the individual forums.
Each night around 10:30, all 350-400 new posts. Sometimes also in the morning when I should be working.
couple times a day; number of pages varies depending on how much time I have and whether I’m interrupted or not; not usually more than about 10 pages, though. also, the new posts page is pretty much the only way I navigate the site.
I guess I am the only one who surfs the Dope forum by forum. I find it hard to shift gears from GQ’s to politics to sports to movies to pointless stuff and back to politics again.
I go forum by forum, and I skip over some forums. The ones I read, I read only the first page of new posts.
