They’re really about the same. Scotch bonnets and habaneros are in the same category of hot. Both are around 100K-300K Scoville. However, the hottest habanero, the (in)famous Red Savina is hotter at over 500K Scoville than the hottest Scotch bonnet
Ah, I see. I’ll take your word for it. I personally don’t like anything hotter than a sweet red bell pepper. (Yes, I’m a wimp. I like spices to add flavor, not pain.)
Well, I just tried some of my new habanero jelly on an english muffin (toasted) with some butter. Quite delightful! I’m still a bit tingly. MUCH hotter than that Knotts Berry Farm Jalapeno jelly! This stuff has the habanero seeds in it too!
