Is it just me or does this look like an Uwe Boll film?

Is it just me or does this look like an Uwe Boll film?
“You know what I could really go for? Another Robin Hood film,” said no one ever.
The trailer reminded me a lot of Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur film. The marketers should probably want to avoid that association.
It looks like generic crap.
They shot an arrow into the air.
It will fall to earth, and I say ‘meh’.
It does, doesn’t it? It’s the city shot.
I never knew there were electric hair trimmers in the 12th century. So many perfect haircuts.
I was thinking the same thing. In fact, I would say avoid films about King Arthur or Robin Hood in general.
I just had another look at the trailer. Some observations:
0:24 What is this building supposed to be? The proposed design for a new San Francisco art gallery?
0:28 Is this the Sheriff of Nottingham, or a new TV talk show host in a futuristic jacket?
(I’m not sure what any of the clothing or armour in this trailer is supposed to be. Certainly not even vaguely medieval.)
“I propose a bounty - a thousand a week until he’s caught… or killed.”
Sounds like an easy thousand a week. Just try not to catch him or kill him for as long as possible.
“You stared death in the face! That’s why I chose you!”
Award for brilliant dialog, not.
Ninja Robin Hood!
Eve Hewson - great American accent among the British accents!
“You were a crusader, now you have to be a warrior!”
I thought crusaders were warriors. My mistake.
1:48 Is that a Molotov cocktail?
Are those crossbows or laser rifles? Did I see three arrows loaded on one bow? I bet they will kill three bad guys simultaneously!
1:54 Ben Hur chariot race included by mistake.
1:58 Darth Vader included by mistake.
I’ve changed my mind. I definitely want to see this. It looks like it’s going to be one those movies that are so bad they’re hilarious.
I don’t see how the semi auto longbow would work.
Hi-cap magazine. Duh.
Are we certain these aren’t just scene’s from the next season of CW’s Arrow?
I would love a good Robin Hood movie. This one doesn’t look like it will fit the bill though. Same with King Arthur, or anything medieval, honestly.
Do they have to include CGI explosions in everything nowadays? The middle ages were brutal and bloody enough already without everything being constructed out of TNT.
Did they have anything in the middle ages that “exploded”?
They had gunpowder. And cannon were notorious for explosive decomposition.
Cannon started coming into use in the 14th century, and were used in battles and sieges.
Going with the common assumption that the Mongols introduced gunpowder to Europe, I’m afraid the usual Robin Hood time frame( i.e. Richard I still alive, so before 1199 )predates that. But hey, who needs accuracy :p?
Fantastic review by Matt Easton (medieval / war YouTuber)
Man, it’s so bad.
The guy center front looks like he enjoys blowing folks into pieces.
Nice thing about the trailer- one can play 'count the anachronisms" during it. I got up to a rather large number, then they came so fast i lost count.
He tore that up. Having a mideveal (sp) grenade launcher is cutting it a bit high.
