There is no earthly way you can compare consuming pickled pig’s feet with shooting naked women with paintballs. Consumption of pickled pigs’ feet is not an activity engaged in exclusively by people who get excited on the idea of pigs having their feet cut off and think that pigs were put on this earth to have their feet cut off. People who shoot naked women with paintballs, however, get excited by the prospect of doing so and are of the attitude that this is how women ought to be treated. That’s just plain wrong.
What about kids who drive around and shoot unsuspecting bystanders with paintballs? Would it be acceptable if they stopped and paid their targets depending on whether they got hit or not?
Look, I’m not terribly comfortable with this thing either, but surely you can see the difference between getting someone’s consent before an activity and shooting at “unsuspecting bystanders.” The models voluntarily agreed to participate in this activity. Unsuspecting bystanders have not.
But- the “targets” in the paintball video had an informed CHOICE, and they WANTED to do it. I don’t think the pigs had any say.

You don’t have to love your job for it to be consensual. I doubt your local garbageman would do his job for free, or that he really enjoys slinging trash into the garbage truck. Doesn’t mean his presence on the job isn’t consensual.
Well, he’s not exactly free to choose any job he likes, either, as are the women who sign up for this. If a stripper had the education and skills to be a highly-paid computer programmer, would she continue to work as a stripper? The more people are compelled to take whatever job they can get because they wouldn’t otherwise be able to eat, the less the “consent” is freely given.
Has it not occurred to you that the whole thing is staged? Has it not occurred to you that they are using “actresses” and faking the “shooting” with cut scenes and camera angles? Yes, they sell a video. Do you think that everything shot on video must be “real”?

Which is a crock. If your stripper didn’t want to be a stripper, she could take any number of unskilled, lower-paying jobs. If the paintball gals acting in the video didn’t want to be shot at, they could simply work elsewhere. No one forced them into that video.
I mean really: are you suggesting these women would be better off if someone hadn’t dangled a lump of cash in front of them and said “it’s all yours if you act in our little hoax video”? Good heavens, why? If they elected not to take the cash, they’d be in exactly the same place as if it hadn’t been offered. Why does giving a woman an alternative amount to the negation of consent?

I cannot resist throwing in here that Asia Carrera, a Mensan who attended Rutger’s University on a full scholarship and chooses to continue doing porn although more than capable of finishing her degree and working in another field.

I’m talking about the fact that these women are faced with a choice of either working shitty jobs for low pay or subjecting themselves to physical degradation for higher pay because they don’t have the skills or the education to get a high-paying job that isn’t degrading. How many opportunities are there for women to earn upwards of $1000 a day that neither require a high-level education or taking their clothes off? Damn few, if any. What are you ranting about, specifically? That the uneducated have fewer options than the educated? Well, yes. Thank you Captain Obvious. Do you propose that the world should somehow work differently? How then? And what does griping about guys paying models to appear in an unseemly videotape have to do with any of it?
And you know the ugly have fewer options that the attractive do. These women, being sexy & good looking, have scads of options. I’m with Dewey. I encourage Olentzero to dissociate himeself with radical feminism (the type of feminism primarily concerned with demonizing men which promotes terms such as “degradation”) but stick with real feminism which promotes fairness to women and discourages gender stereotypes.
Even if there really is a bambi hunt, I don’t imagine that the customers would be sickos that take sadistic pleasure in causing pain to women. I can’t picture that the assholes who come home drunk and beat up their wives or girlfriends, or who are adament about the woman’s place being in the home, would be the ones who would sign up for this. More likely it would be guys who like hunting or target shooting (like people who hunt deer or ducks or skeet or shoot little duck cutouts in an arcade) and also (like me) enjoy looking at naked women. The biggest attraction of this “sport”, however, is probably pissing off the radical feminists who will predictably flip out and assume this is part of a diabolical patriarchal plot to dehumanize, exploit, and enslave females.
In my opinion, hunting bambi, real or not, is totally meaningless insofar as the advancement of women is concerned. It should not be taken for anything but the joke and publicity stunt it is.
