New Thread: 27 to 9 to 3 to 1 Movie Game

Jackie Brown - Chris Tucker
Blade Runner - Brion James
Mousehunt - Lee Evans

Were all in The Fifth Element.

Crimson Tide - Daniel von Bargen
Wonderland - Tim Blake Nelson
Big Lebowski - John Turturro

were all in O Brother, Where Art Thou?

None of my ideas for finishing this off are panning out… I’ve got us this far, somebody else take us home.

C’mon now – it’s been over 12 hours.

Your final three movies are:
Velvet Goldmine (from Bale, Collette, and Izzard)
Fifth Element (from Tucker, Evans, and James)
O Brother, Where art Thou? (from von Bargen, Nelson, and Turturro)

Just so you know, Welfie, that actually wasn’t a dig at you. It was pretty clear those were correct. I’m just disappointed that no one else has taken a crack at the final three.

I know that. It seems like there’s only a couple of us playing this anymore.

Well, I am truly stuck at this point. But I’ll give others a chance throughout the day and then look at it again later with fresh eyes.

i was out all last night - got home too late to play

so have we eliminated anyone yet? I’ll throw in a few guesses (let’s get the bog guys out of the way)

Velvet Goldmine: Ewan MacGregor
Fifth Element: Bruce Willis
Oh Brother Where Art Thou: George Clooney

Ewan MacGregor is correct, but not Willis or Clooney.

FE: Mila Jovovich
OBWAT: John Goodman

Nope, sorry, try again.

FE: Gary Oldman
OBWAT: Holly Hunter

Yes to Holly Hunter, no to Oldman.

Hunter, McGregor and Ian Holm (The Fifth Element) were all in A Life Less Ordinary.

FE: Ian Holm

Holm/Hunter/McGregor = A Life Less Ordinary

and now that this round is done - what say we walk away for a week or so, try again another time?

Sounds good to me!

I’ll put together a few new puzzles for later… I have some interesting ideas.

Argh.

I just found the first thread, read most of it, and found this one.

And now you guys are stopping for a bit.

Well, I’m now subscribed to this thread, so I’ll play when you guys are ready.
