That’s the first time I’ve ever had to work backwards on one of these things. As soon as I got Anna & The King, I knew the answer, I just couldn’t figure out who the Dogtown, Mars Attacks or Cuckoo’s Nest actors were for the longest time…

I was so happy when I was putting that together and found that Bai Ling had been in Dogtown. I figured, somewhat correctly, that no one would pull her from that film. Vincent Schiavelli’s also a good one: everyone knows the guy (he was the angry ghost on the subway train in Ghost, but almost no one knows his name. And Joe Don Baker is fairly well know, especially to people old enough to remember Walking Tall, but he’s always playing generals and senators in large ensemble casts, so it was a fun place to pull him from. It was a bit of a challenge to end up with three Chinese actors yet not go Asian too early in and give it all away. Jackie Chan might have been the biggest hint that something was afoot.
