This is the red-band trailer. Personally, I found Borat a bit overrated, but I gotta admit this does look promising.
I laughed. I’m not proud that I laughed, but I did.
Thanks ArchiveGuy! Can’t wait for this!
Am I the only one who wishes someone would beat the shit out of that guy?
If I’m not mistaken, it has happened multiple times during the filming of Bruno, and probably a few more for Borat.
Red Band Trailer for Sascha Baron Cohen’s follow up to “Borat.” Looks hilarious!
Apparently, no one has really beat the shit out of him yet, because he’s still full of it. Seriously, do people really think that prank calls would be funnier if they were 2 hours long and on film? Oh, wait, Crank Yankers has been done.
I love him. I can’t wait. Bring on the flames.
The guy is somewhat funny but waaaaay over-rated.
The way people were carrying on and on and on about Borat you’d think there was some ground breaking stuff going on there. Where have these people been for the last couple decades?? Did they miss the edgy pranks of The Jerky Boys, Crank Yankers, Jackass, Tom Green, Stuttering John?
It had all been done before, and better, and not half staged.
The difference, and I agree that it’s a subtle one, is that The Jerky Boys, Crank Yankers, Jackass, Tom Green and Stuttering John aren’t funny while the Borat movie was hilarious.
Do you mean the character or Sasha Baron Cohen?
I love Borat, but Bruno makes me cringe. Not because of the character, but because of the reactions he gets. He really seems to bring out the worst in people, much more so than Borat.
Hey, instead of an offensive racial stereotype, now he’s an offensive homosexual stereotype! That’s original!
On the TV show, he came close to being beat up once at a gun show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixnYHSYzHtk
The scripted parts of Borat were average comedy at best, but it was second to none at exposing people’s actual ignorance. I can only imagine Bruno being even better at bringing the crap out of real people in the most hilarious of ways.
The trailer looks hilarious. So slap him down in the south and let’s see the sparks fly!
I’m with you. I didn’t go into Borat expecting there to be some greater message from it, but I was surprised by how much insight you’re given to the thought processes of folks. Sure, he’s a tool and the jokes are lame and childish, but it’s goddamn fascinating to see how people react.
From the tv show:
Cue the techno music intro by Scooter.
Wow he got shut down. Can’t have a line ready for everything I guess.
