New uses for auto showrooms

According to this, empty glass-walled auto showrooms standing empty are just crying out to be used for other purposes. This strikes me as kind of creepy. All I can think of is the Roman Colisieum that was “re-used” as a cemetary, its building blocks of stones hauled away to be used in building lesser structures.

A couple around here have been converted to churches. Large parking lot, big room for lots of people, large sign out front to advertise. It all fits.

But the afterthought bolted-on steeple / big tall cross thingy looks kinda weird.

This is one in the process of being converted. The big cross was added to the front of the building where the cupola-like thing is now.
