I’m thinking about buying new rims for my jeep. On this page I have a choice of chrome or polished rims. What’s the difference and which is better? Also, I know that my factory rims are 16x7 with a bolt pattern of 5x4.5 or 5x114.3 (I’ve been told that there the same thing). Is there any thing else that I should know when buying rims so that they fit right?
A more specific question. My factory wheels look like the ones on the limited liberty(click the NEXT button 4 times). At the Jeep web site under liberty specs for my 4x4 limited edition it says that my wheels are 16x7 but it doesn’t say anything about offset. Will the American racing wheels that I linked to above fit my jeep liberty?
doesn’t someone have at least something to say.
I’m in the market for new wheels too. I went to this site: http://www.discounttire.com/dtc/home.jsp and just input my truck’s info and it gave me a whole list of rims that would fit. Click the “Wheels” link on this page and go from there.
Don’t you hate it when nobody posts to your thread?
The diff. between polished and chrome is polished are not chrome plated so won’t look as shiny. As for which is better, eventually the chrome will start peeling off. But it will take a long time, I would imagine, so if you like real shiny wheels get chrome.
I don’t have any info about the size for you. Does the American wheel site say the wheels will fit your Jeep? You might have to find out the max. offset for it. Don’t know where you’d find that.

I have always found I get a better answer about wheels by calling a local dealer instead of asking the question on a message board. Or better yet, visit one. If the wheels you want don’t fit I would be willing to bet they can show you many that will.
