I get a clan map of Scotland. Not surprising, really. Apparently the guy for whom my clan was named had the same name I do, though I highly doubt that was my intentional on my parents’ part.
Well I was never in the Navy (Marine Corps veteran here), but I knew this was the hit I would get for my last name as I had heard of the ship before.
My username gets no hits.
Sir Rhosis
Here I am from Google:

Just for the curious, here’s the page for my username.
Died in Tennessee too. Yeah, we’re probably related.
My real name gets me a page for a guy who co-authored a book with my father.
My Dope name gets me nothing.
Our last name is pretty rare and I don’t feel comfortable posting it. However, I found some information on a long-dead relation that Dave had tried to track down in the past with no luck.
My maiden name brings up the page of Alexander Hamilton Stephens, the vice-president of the Confederate States of America as its first hit.
I got 6 results from my last name. This one was the least relevant to my name, but the most appropriate for me.
Ladies and gentleman, Mayberry
D’oh! :slinks away:
I just get a bunch of pages mentioning a comic book artist with the same last name (no relation that I know of.)
Absolutely nothing. Though, if one of you wanted to write an entry about me…
I am not at all surprised by mine
Ano… I’d not be quite so eager to announce a link to that ship. Or any of her other three sisters. Collectively, the four destroyers ordered by the Shah, then taken into US service after the Iranian revolution were known to the blueshirts as “The Dead Admirals” class.
My own last name comes up with a couple of people, and this.
Both my real name and my board name come up with exactly one hit with a Google search restricted to wikipedia.org. My real name is a page in German about pictures that should be removed and reasons for removing them. I think. I don’t speak German. Not a surprise since my last name is a bastardized form of a German original, or so I’m told.
My board name gives this result. Also not a surprise since Sleel is a character in his book. I related to that character, being a contradictory kind of guy myself, though I’m less of an asshole than he.
I can never see Vagina Dentata without hearing it sung in my mind by Timon and Pumbaa to the tune of Haku… well, you get the idea.
The best one that comes up under my surname is a lot more mundane.
I’ve always loved this story; Balto was one of my favorite movies as a child. I’m not related to anyone in the story, but my surname appears on the page.
Nothing for my real last name, and a few slightly relevant possibilities for my Doper nick. I liked this one just for the name of the band and the track listings. Wicked cool.
