I was recently reading the TV Tropes page on the trope, “Suspiciously Specific Denial”, and was reminded of that when Ram Master Ray outside Orgrimmar referred to his rams as “legally obtained creatures”. Hmmm.
I don’t know, but while playing on Monday night (about 1/2 hour before raid) I accidentally closed my WoW window and had to re-login. When I did, the downloader started and did download a small… patch, or something. It was only a couple of Mb I think. It was strange because I had logged in an hour earlier with nothing.
Speaking of which, does Mekkatorque have the same voice as Putricide or do I need to wash my ears better? It’s kind of hard to be following someone when half of you wants to rip off his throat, even if the someone in question is a bunch of 1s and 0s being followed by your own bunch of 1s and 0s…
And *another *week where BQL steadfastly refused to drop her shield–Bloodfail yet again. Whoever decided to give the *only *277 tanking shield in the entire game a fucking NINE PERCENT drop rate deserved to die in terribly painful ways.
I guess this means I have to take down my Craigslist ad: “For sale: one Quasi. Slightly used. Serious offers only.”
You can do it! Just watch those ankles.
Are you watching for the cast to do your interrupts, or are you timing it? Lag will screw you every time. Bring a Shaman who can interrupt every single one–that way, they can just mash their interrupt and it should do it perfectly.
The Tauren are pretty wince-worthy, too. Have you ever seen a picture of the WoW dev team? It’s almost all white men, except for like one Asian man. No women, no other minorities. And it shows up in the game design.
I have not been able to load the news stuff in several days, and do not know if I am downloading any of the big patch files after logout. Yesterday I had unplayable lag most of the night…finally got on around 10:30 pm. Got my frosties for heroic daily and the brewfest guy, but that’s about all I accomplished.
Well the old ICC10 group decided to run last night, we had to fill in a spot with a guildie and 9 manned everything up to Fester. Marrowgar finally dropped his neck, so it was nice to get rid of that badge necklace. I ended up tanking Keleseth on Princes, which was interesting but fun. Probably the only fun I had throughout the whole run. Tonight we’re finishing up Dreamwalker and Sindragosa then attempting to kill the Lich King, I don’t have high hope for it happening though.
My paladin was lucky enough to get the Brewfest Kodo yesterday, I’m still hoping for it on my warrior so I can have both mounts. Thinking of holding onto these Tankard’s O’ Terror for inevitable Goblin Shaman boom once Cata comes out. They’re pretty good starter weapons for 80. Then again they may be replaced the second they ding 81 and hit up the new quests. Maybe I’ll get an outfit for my shaman and go around dual wielding those tankards for giggles.
Oh, I do hate you more. I’ve been running Corin Direbrew on my priest for three years now, daily or close to daily, without getting a mount. I saw several drop but never won the roll. I also ran it a bunch on my rogue last year, for nothing. After two days this year I’m 0 for 4 on my two toons I’ve been playing.
ETA: I’ve also done it about 15 times on my pally since Monday, and the frikkin’ Pickled Egg hasn’t dropped either.
What is the Corin Direbrew etiquette? Nothing in there is a need, per se - it isn’t as if there’s armor upgrades or anything. Or does he drop drinks you can’t get anywhere else that contribute to the ‘drink everything’ achievement? I went and queued a few times yesterday and was very confused with the whole process. I mean, if one of the mounts drops, is it appropriate to roll Need even though technically anyone could ‘need’ it and if you already have it you should be Passing. Need rolling basically makes Need the new Greed for this quest, correct? If you want it, you should Need it, not Greed it? But I don’t want to be the bitch who Needs on everything, since everything is new to me this year because this is my first Brewfest.
kushiel, AFAIK the only things he *drops *this year are the ilvl 200 trinkets. Everything else (including and especially the mounts) comes out of the goodie bag you get from your first run of the day, so there’s no need to worry about rolling on that loot.
The Corin Direbrew thing rewards a “Keg O Loot” (called something else) that is similar to the “Satchel of Stuff” you get for running random dungeons below 80. I think either mount can drop in there, and everybody in the group gets their own Keg*, so you get what you get. The best thing after the mounts is the 2 frost badges.
He also drops loot that can be rolled on. I’d say need roll on a mount if one drops and you don’t have it. Also need roll on one of the trinkets if it is useful for your class. Otherwise greed or pass.
As noted above, the whole thing will likely take under 5 minutes from the time you join the que. It’s one fight, super easy, and then you’re done.
*I think the Keg only applies to your first run of the day. Don’t think you can do the thing multiple times in the same day and get a keg each time.
