Was Prod a blood tank before, or did you have to make the switch from frost to blood?
[/QUOTE]

Yup, Prod has always been a blood tank. I guess it’s a little different from those coming from frost, then again I’m so used to tab targeting on my warrior it’s second nature.

Also they need to fix the randomly dissapearing patches of poison/ice/things that kill you on the ground. Just wiped in H PoS because I couldn’t see any ice patches on the ground.

I think the leatherworking specialties have disappeared, although the gear that comes with the requirement in order to wear it has not been updated.

My level 53 druid was tribal leatherworking. Imagine my surprise when I logged in to find out that I had to replace my pants. (They where still “equipped”, skin wise, but not providing any benefit.)

I had to go pantless and scrounge up some rugged leather to make a new set.

I haven’t checked my dragonscale LW or my blacksmiths yet, but I suspect the same has happened to them.

That’s really getting on my nerves. Just wiped in HFoS because I ran into an invisible purple patch as the group’s healer.

Well here’s a PvP issue that needs fixing right quick, if what I believe I saw happen last night did indeed happen and my eyes (and several other people’s eyes) weren’t fooling me.

I entered WG between battles (on my human pally) by taking the flight path from the Argent Tournament. Saw in General that there was a Horde warlock in the WG Fortress courtyard, so I zipped over there to see if I could help out. On arriving (on one of my flying mounts) I spotted the warlock and his felguard fighting an Alliance druid on top of one of those square, flat-topped tower things that are at intervals along the walls. I dropped down onto the tower, hit the 'lock with my Judgement, and got in a couple hits … at which point the warlock mounted up and flew away.:confused::confused:

Next thing I know, the warlock is on the next tower over, casting spells at us, and me, being still “in combat” unable to mount up and go to him. All I could do was jump off the opposite side of my tower to the top of the actual wall, putting the tower between us and breaking the 'lock’s line-of-sight.

So I said, in General, “WTF?! How did he mount up in combat?” And somebody said, “Horde trick”, which really didn’t answer the question. A moment later I dropped out of combat and was able to mount, and when I did I spotted the warlock again … riding in one of those 2-passenger rocket mounts.

So what appears to have happened was, as soon as the warlock was getting double-teamed, his buddy flew over next to us, the warlock jumped into the passenger seat, and they flew away, leaving me and the druid with a bunch of DoTs ticking away on us. Unfortunately, I can’t prove that’s exactly what happened. The only thing I know for a fact is that the warlock somehow escaped from the fight on a flying mount. It happened too quickly and at too close-quarters to identify the kind of mount - we were fighting, there was a dark, rising blur, and then I was Divine Storming empty space, and the warlock was on the next tower over. But the general consensus of the Alliance players present was that this is exactly what happened. If it really happened, I hope it happens enough times for people to be able to prove it so that Blizzard can fix it.

I can’t speak for raid situations (my nelf hunter is only lvl 68), but I didn’t have any real issues with running out of Focus while farming ogres in Nagrand yesterday, even when killing them one after another and including a few extended fights against elites. And Focus regenerates very quickly when you’re moving and not attacking.

I’m the same way. No interest at all in number-crunching. I just go to wowpopular.com, pick the most popular talent distribution for my class/spec, and go with that.

My hunter is BM, and my standard rotation has been Arcane Shot -> Serpent Sting -> Concussive Shot -> Steady Shot -> Arcane Shot (if necessary). With the new skill changes, I have Kill Shot in there now, so I’m still working on perfecting my new rotation. Since the CD on Arcane Shot has been greatly reduced, when fighting at-level mobs I can just go Arcane Shot -> Serpent Sting -> Arcane Shot -> Kill Shot. Kill Shot is especially useful against healer mobs who want to try to heal themselves when their HPs are low.

My leatherworker ran into an issue yesterday while trying to repost some expired auctions of some crafted mail chest pieces (Outland pattern stuff). I tried posting them and they wouldn’t post. I thought Auctioneer was tweaking on me again, but I finally glanced at my chat window and saw a message telling me “You can’t post that because it’s damaged”. What the…? How can they be damaged? I just took them out of the mailbox and brought them straight back to the auctioneer. They weren’t damaged the last time I posted them! Mouseover confirmed it, though — they were all sitting at 110/115 durability. So I don’t know what happened. Maybe Blizz upped the max durability on that item, but the “actual” durability didn’t come up to the new level. So I had to hike over to the nearest repairman and get everything fixed, and then I was able to post them.

Yeah, they upped the durability on all armor to match that of plate – so that everyone has the same repair bills instead of plate-wearers bearing more burden for wipes – but didn’t match the current durability to the new max. After the patch, all my toons logged in to massive repair bills.

I saw that issue too, but I didn’t think too much about it.

Since I don’t own any tier-oh-my-god stuff (except for my Orc rogue), my repair bills were generally small.

Oh, the lower tier Wrathful PvP gear can now be bought without arena rating (it’ll still say you need rating but you can buy and equip it anyways). Picked up the wrathful shield on my pally for a mere 70 honor – gave up about 1% dodge for 108 stamina and 845 armor. Plus, it looks cooler.

I did not know that… on my to-do list for the DK now. Thanks for the heads up.

If that’s true, then I got screwed. Had about 4700 new honor points, and tried to buy the Wrathful set. Not only does it still show the rating requirement, but when I clicked to buy it, it declined the sale because I do not have the necessary arena rating. Bought a full suit of Relentless gear instead.

Also—I thought Wrathful was the highest tier of PVP gear…Ilevel 264 or so. Is there something above that?

Upthread I mentioned my issue after the patch with the damage I was dealing not being shown in my floating combat text. I reloaded both my UI and the combat log, still had problems. Went to the forums, other people had the same problem. I decided to do the tried and true delete WTF and it looks like it’s fixed up, I haven’t tried in a group but single-player I have my damage back. I think it was a problem during the patch process for me, because doing this also gave me pretty ice and shadows from flying things.

There’s two “tiers” of wrathful – the stuff that requires less than 2k rating and the stuff that requires 2k+ rating. You can buy the sub-2k items (afaik there’s only one or two pieces from that set that are 2k+, and all the i277 weapons). I grabbed a 270 wrathful offhand for my resto druid, since he was still using a 187 heroic blue, heh. Grabbed the i264 PvP offhand dagger for my rogue, since Putricide refuses to drop the 251 one I’ve been craving.

There is a script that will automatically fix this. Look for one of Shot From Guns’ more recent posts, it has the script you need. Just C&P it into a macro, then hit the macro when you notice your combat log isn’t working. Quick and painless.

Are these sold by different vendors? I was talking to the goblin vendor with the 264 stuff in Dalaran’s Underbelly, and he wouldn’t sell me anything. The vendor is SW only had iLvl 264 Wrathful cloaks and bracers, which I was able to buy if I were so inclined. I ended up buying the Relentless shoulders and gloves instead.

There’s a goblin with all the highest level weapons – those still require a rating. The other goblin has the wrathful armor and the 264-270 weapons and accessories – I was able to buy accessories from him (offhand, shield, ranged slot, dagger) and one wrathful armor piece (gloves, but those drop in VoA25 anyway with no rating req to equip) before running out of honor. I imagine the boots and belt from the SW vendor can also be bought now, too, as they’re both sub-2k pieces. He wouldn’t sell me the shoulders, which require a 2k rating. Did not have enough honor to see if I could buy the 1950 rated piece.

ETA: Curiously enough, I just noticed the ilvl 270 libram costs only half as much honor as the ilvl 251 one. It may be the case the vendor is bugged and shouldn’t be selling this stuff, in which case, I’d go shopping before they fix him

I tried to cut and paste some macros…but don’t know how to do it…what’s the secret?

I think cut and paste functionality in the WoW client isn’t native – you have to install an addon that allows it. I’m pretty sure Prat is one such addon.

I’ve had no problem cutting and pasting in the macro windows, without any addons that I know of. I just use ctrl+c and crtl+v.

Yeah, once you create the new macro you can click in the text-entry area and paste there. Works for me, the only problem is you have to cancel the macro box if you want to use any key-commands (same with once I’m in the search box in the auction house panel)

No, what I said above is that didn’t fix it. I reloaded both my UI and the combat log, still had problems. I tried SFG’s fix. The only thing that fixed it was deleting the WTF folder.
