New Year's In Seattle

My girlfriend and I are hoping to enjoy Seattle’s fireworks and new years festivities this year, so I turn to the teeming masses for any suggestions. The only restrictions:

She’s vegan, and I’m vegetarian, so a lot of the dinners with 5 types of meat may be a bit wasted on us.

She’s 20. Yea, a pain, but this will be the last year that we can’t get into any average bar.

We’d like to see the fireworks at midnight, so any fantastic vantage points are appreciated.
I’ve looked into cruises, but I’d be a bit apprehensive that the typical walk on the deck would be a bit chilly at that time. That being said, if there is one that is highly suggested we won’t rule it out.

Basically I’m as open as possible, given the limitations. Any info is appreciated.

My wife and I are vegetarians. On several New Year’s Eves we’ve made reservations for the prix fixe menu at Carmelita, an awesome vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Greenwood.

For fireworks vantage points, try Melrose Ave on Capitol Hill.

Is it too late to book something at The Space Needle?

Cafe Flora is another vegetarian/vegan restaurant, comparable to Carmelita, both of which are GREAT.
