I will cook black eyed peas and some sort of greens (depends what’s available, but collard or mustard greens might be–turnip greens won’t). Other traditional and/or lucky New Year’s foods? They don’t have to be in the same cuisine (or the same New Year’s date). Thanks.

I don’t know about traditional or lucky, but when I was young my mom would often cook fried chicken for New Year’s Day, which would go nicely with the black-eyed peas and greens.
